“The clay process is empowering and discouraging, refined but messy, intentional and flexible – a constant push and pull that works together for a beautiful balance.”
This project is a re-brand, capturing the essence of the pottery process and vision of Pressed Pottery.
The thin lines behind the logotype are a wispy version of the initials that are carved into each dish. The type reflects the clay process to show the strength and vulnerability that comes with being a potter. The type also works to show the texture and hand element of working with clay.
The new approach to the logo was to shift away from the contemporary trends of the hand-made revolution and to show something more raw and personalized.
